Always open to volunteering, she first learned how to sew in March 2020. A month later, she joined Ma(s)king a Difference, a group that originated in her high school. Within three months, she had sewn nearly 200 cloth masks for local requests. In September 2020, she joined Makers for COVID-19 to lead the sewing teams. While she loves to sew, she is excited to direct her focus onto her love for laser cutting and animals.

Alysa is a senior at Westwood High School and will be continuing her education at Purdue University to major in either Aerospace or Mechanical engineering. Despite being heavily involved in STEM, she is also passionate about digital art, painting, drawing, and videography. She also loves to read, bake, play video games, and take care of plants. If you have any book, recipe, or game recommendations, or any questions, feel free to reach out!
